Picture yourself cruising through busy city roads or taking on rough trails with a motorcycle that not only rides but also looks out for you. That’s what the Ultraviolette X47 Crossover promises.

Launched on September 23, 2025, in Bengaluru, the bike brings a new meaning to electric adventure riding. With an introductory price of ₹2.49 lakh for the first 1,000 customers (₹2.74 lakh after), the X47 mixes strong performance, advanced safety, and striking design.

Let’s see why this launch has created such a buzz.

What The X47 Offers

The X47 is Ultraviolette’s first step into the premium adventure EV category. Based on the F77 platform, this model has been designed as a multi-purpose machine, built for everyday commutes, highway stretches, and light off-road rides.

Its sharp beak-style fender, tall ground clearance, and muscular stance give it the appeal of a modern crossover. Buyers can choose from four paint options: Laser Red, Airstrike White, Shadow Black, and a special Desert Wing edition.

Why Riders Are Calling It A Game-Changer

Ultraviolette has gone beyond style here. The X47 comes packed with features that make it stand apart in India’s growing electric bike market:

  • First-Ever Radar Tech: It is the world’s first production bike with UV HyperSense radar and dual Sony cameras. These bring in rider aids like blind-spot monitoring, lane change assist, overtake alerts, and rear collision warnings—features more common in cars than two-wheelers.
  • Performance Numbers: The motor produces 40.2hp with an enormous 610Nm of torque at the wheel. The bike does 0-60kmph in 2.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 145kmph.
  • Battery Choices: Two packs are on offer—7.1kWh with a 211km IDC range, and 10.3kWh with 323km range. Charging options include a 1.6kW air-cooled charger and DC fast charging.
  • Adventure Build: 208mm clearance, 41mm USD forks, and wide block-pattern tyres make it terrain-friendly. Upright riding posture and knuckle guards add comfort for long rides.
  • Extras For Tourers: The Desert Wing edition gets panniers and a luggage rack. Buyers can also add crash guards and soft luggage for extra touring needs.

Rivals And Comparisons

The X47 is aimed at the KTM 250 Adventure (₹2.40 lakh) and Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 (₹2.85 lakh). Unlike them, it runs on electricity, offering a much lower running cost of about ₹0.32 per km. It also beats them in tech with its radar and dashcam features, which are not available in this segment.

Public Response

The launch has drawn heavy attention online. On X, riders praised the bike’s balance of features and price. “40hp, 323km range, radar tech at ₹2.49 lakh? This is next level,” one post said.

The Desert Wing variant has already become a favorite among tourers. A few raised concerns about the 192kg weight and charging times, but the general mood is excitement and pride in a Made-in-India innovation.

Why It Matters

India’s electric two-wheeler market is expanding quickly—up by 40% in 2025 compared to last year. With traffic congestion and safety risks rising, the radar and cameras of the X47 could genuinely improve rider protection.

Add to that its strong range and low cost per km, and it becomes a practical choice for daily use as well as weekend escapes. Bookings are open at ₹999, with deliveries starting October 2025.

What’s Next

Ultraviolette already found success in Europe with the F77. The X47 is expected to follow the same path and highlight India’s capability in EV innovation.

For riders here, it’s a rare mix of performance, safety, and design at a price point that feels aggressive. If you are thinking of upgrading to a future-ready bike, the X47 is worth a serious look.
